Lead Guitar, lead vocals, parents were married, father was an English Professor at the University of Evansville.
Jaslyn was born in Blowing Rock North Carolina on June 3, 1945 . Her brother, Randy, was four years younger. She was a girl scout, liked to hike and snow ski. Began singing at age 4 and playing the guitar at age 12.
She graduated from high school with honors while developing a love for animals. She also became very idealistic and rebelled against the establishment. In the eighth grade, she met her boyfriend David. They dated throughout high school and when they graduated, Jaslyn and David joined an older friend in Canada working to protest the senseless killing of Harp and Hooded seals. They spent more than three years working for very little money and found themselves behind bars on several occasions for protesting without a permit. Jaslyn's parents supported their daughter but always encouraged her to come home and go to college. In the fall of '69 she returned home and enrolled at Harrison State. Her major was psychology with a minor in music.
• Liked hiking, camping, writing.
• Was a pitcher on the high school softball team.
• Read a lot of Middle Eastern poetry.
• Was a very spiritual person, but not in a traditional sense.
• Did not believe in killing man or beast.
• Played in a high school garage band.
